Fisherman’s Wake

Central Wisconsin is often graced with an early morning fog disappearing shortly after sunrise.  Highway 10 parallels the Wisconsin River to the West of Stevens Point offering several vistas.  This one is at a boat landing of a local entertainment establishment.  I was attracted by the contrast of the buoy against the muted sky and glass like water. The early morning stillness was disturbed by a passing fisherman.  The resulting wake was almost too good to be true.

Almost looks like a graphic done in a computer. Lovely tones. The waves and fog lead the eye right to the round buoy.

Thanks for the comment. I agree, the image looks like it could have been computer generated. I never did see the fisherman due to the fog bank, but the sound of the motor and in the incoming wake was a magic moment.

I really like this photo, it is a very quiet calm image. Not something I could ever see here in Tucson, AZ.

When I was much younger, I had the opportunity to live in various parts of the United States. I learned each location had it’s own character and beauty. We often long to see the beauty elsewhere but often do not stop appreciate the wonder that surrounds us. Thanks for your comment.
