Plover River

The Plover River was originally formed from meltwater of the glacier that covered Wisconsin some 10,000 years ago.  The glacier advanced to just east of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.  Traversing through eastern Marathon and central Portage County, the Plover River flows just west of the glacier’s terminal moraine and discharges into the Wisconsin River near Plover, Wisconsin.  This is a panoramic image stitched together from 4 separate images.
